Business systems & financial organisation

Better systems
behind your business.

I help small businesses understand and improve the systems behind how they operate, from digital setup and day to day processes through to financial organisation and working effectively with an accountant.

The aim is simple: make the business easier to run, easier to understand and easier to hand over to the right professional when specialist support is needed.

Where it starts

Growth often happens before the systems catch up.

Not sure what you actually need?

Tell me a little about your business and what's going on, and I'll point you to the most sensible next step.

What I help with

Four connected areas, from the tools and processes behind daily operations to knowing when a qualified specialist should take over.

How I work

The first three stages are work I deliver directly where it sits within my capability. The fourth is where a qualified specialist takes over.

A few short questions about your business. I review the answers myself and point you to the most sensible next step.

Business Systems Review

A deeper review of how the business currently operates, where the main friction sits and what should be improved. This is separate from the free enquiry form.

Struxra

I built Struxra for the same reason.

Struxra grew from the same problems I see in small businesses: financial information exists across accounts, spreadsheets and software, but owners can still struggle to understand what is happening throughout the month.

It is one example of how I approach systems problems: understand where the information breaks down, then build a clearer way of working.

Struxra supports financial organisation and visibility. It does not provide accounting, bookkeeping, tax or financial advice.

About

A practical small business background.

My background is in supporting startups and small businesses with planning, research, websites, digital tools and business development. That work led me towards business systems, financial organisation and eventually building Struxra. I'm also continuing to develop my accounting knowledge so I can work more effectively alongside finance professionals.

Partnerships

Working alongside specialists.

When accounting, tax or other specialist work is needed, I work alongside the business's existing professional or help connect them with appropriate support. I also work with accountants and advisers whose clients need better systems and organisation around the technical work.

Contact

Start with the current setup.

If something in the business feels disorganised, unclear or harder to manage than it should be, start by telling me what is going on.

About

A practical, systems first background.

I work on the systems behind small businesses: how records are kept, how payments move, and how day to day operations actually run once a business has grown past its founding setup.

Background

Background

I previously worked supporting startups and small businesses with planning, research, websites, digital tools and business development.

Over time I became particularly interested in the systems behind how small businesses actually operate, where information sits, how owners make decisions and why simple processes often become unnecessarily complicated.

That eventually led me to build Struxra and continue developing my work around business systems, financial organisation and client support.

Accounting knowledge

I am also continuing to build my accounting knowledge so I can communicate more effectively with businesses and professional finance teams, while keeping technical accounting work with qualified practitioners.

I provide business systems and financial organisation support. I do not provide accounting, bookkeeping, tax, legal or regulated financial advice.

Approach

How I approach the work.

Start with the current setup.

If your business has grown around a collection of spreadsheets, platforms, manual processes and financial admin, the first step is simply understanding what is working and what is not.

Partnerships

Working alongside specialists.

This page is for accountants, bookkeepers and other finance professionals. If you're looking for help with your own business, start with the enquiry form instead.

Good business support also means knowing when specialist expertise is required. I work on organisation and systems; you work on the technical accounting, tax and compliance side. This page is about how those two roles fit together.

Where my role ends

I work on organisation, systems and visibility. I do not provide accounting, bookkeeping, tax, legal or regulated financial advice.

That boundary is useful rather than limiting. It means a business gets practical help with the day to day structure of its records and operations, and a qualified professional gets a client whose information is already organised when the technical work begins.

Where I can help your clients

Some accounting clients have issues before the technical accounting work even begins.

  • {{ ci.n }}{{ ci.text }}

I help address the practical systems and organisation around the client, so the technical work you do starts from a clearer position.

Where partners help my clients

When a business I work with needs technical accounting or finance support, I bring in someone qualified for it.

  • {{ ph }}

I work with professional partners depending on what a business needs. I'm not tied to, or representing, a single accounting firm.

Benefits

For accountants and advisers.

For accountants, advisers and other professional partners, I am also interested in relationships where better business systems and client organisation can improve the wider client experience.

Discuss a partnership.

If you work with small business clients and think better systems on their side would make your work easier, I would be glad to talk.

Business owners

Tell me about your setup.

Tell me a little about your business and what you are trying to get sorted. I will review it personally and come back with the most sensible next step.

That might be something I can help with directly, a conversation about your wider setup, or involving the right professional where specialist support is needed.

This form: free

An initial enquiry. It is not the paid Business Systems Review (from £125), which is a deeper look at how the business operates.
